Sunday Stealing: Compassion Questions

Monday, February 25, 2019

1. What is the most fun thing you have ever done?
🌸 Shopping online.

2. Are you left-handed or right-handed?

🌸 Right handed. That's why my husband calls me Mrs. Right (all the time) because he is left-handed. πŸ˜‰

3. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
🌸 I think the reconciliation I had with my long-lost friend was the nicest someone did to me. I haven't talked to my BFF for 8 long years because of misunderstanding. Then one of our friends talked to us to settle our differences and we became friends again. Much open and closer the second time around.

4. What is the biggest animal you’ve seen in the wild?
🌸 An elephant.

5. What is the smallest animal you’ve seen in the wild?
🌸 A bat.

6. Do you ever have funny dreams at night?

🌸 The moment I woke up I forgot the things I dreamed of.

7. If you could make a law for your country, what would it be?

🌸 Working at home mom should get government benefits as well.  We still pay taxes.

8. What would you do if you were invisible for a day?

🌸 Go shopping! Lol! Should I say shop lifting since I am invisible for a day.

9. If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be?

🌸 Princess Diana.

10. What would you like to change about yourself?

🌸 Nothing. I am me because of who I am.

11. What is your daily routine.

🌸 I woke up at six in the morning. Prepare my husbands breakfast, his working clothes, then wash the baby boys feeding bottles and start doing my job.

12. What would your perfect day be like?

🌸 Cold days are cuddle days. I like being lazy sometimes. πŸ€“

13. How old were you when you learned to read?

🌸 I was three years old.

14. What is the most interesting thing you know?

🌸 Maybe cooking different dishes.

15. What makes you nervous?

🌸 Job interviews. Lol!

16. What is your favorite flower?

🌸 Tulips and Roses.

17. Have you ever ridden on a horse or any other animal?

🌸 Yes! It was fun and nerve breaking at the same time. Hahaha!

18. What time do you go to bed?

🌸 I want to sleep as early as possible. But my baby boy usually sleeps at 12:00 midnight. I have no choice. I have to wait for him. πŸ˜©

19. What time do you get up?

🌸 06:00 a.m.

20. Do you know how to swim?

🌸 NO!

Saturday 9: No. 9 Dream (1974)

1) John Lennon liked the number 9. It shows up in three of his songs (in addition to this song, he performed "Revolution #9" and "The One after 909" with the Beatles). He was born on the 9th of October, as was his son Sean. Coincidentally, "No. 9 Dream" hit #9 on the Billboard chart. Do you have a favorite number?
🌺 Yes, it's 23. I met my husband on the 23rd of December.

2) The phrase repeated in the chorus, "Ah bowakawa pousse pousse" means nothing. It's gibberish that John sang until he could come up with "real" lyrics for this melody. Then he decided he liked the sound of it, so he kept it. Can you think of a word that's fun to say just because you like how it sounds?
🌺 Hakuna Matata.

3) John referred to "No. 9 Dream" as an example of "craftsmanship writing." A snatch of the melody just came to him and he got it down on a tape recorder, wrote lyrics, arranged it and recorded it in short order because he needed another song to finish the LP, Walls and Bridges. What's the last thing that you did because you were supposed to or you had to, and not because you wanted to?
🌺 Babysitting. Lol!

4) Yet once "No. 9 Dream" was recorded, it became one of John's favorite of his solo songs. He loved its ethereal feel. Tell us about something that turned out better than you thought it would.
🌺 Working at home. I thought it was boring but it changes as time passes by. I get to work and earn money staying at home. I don't need to travel everyday plus I get to take care of my son 24/7.

5) When he was working, John drank a lot of tea, as many as 30 cups in a day. Do you take your tea with cream, sugar, honey, or lemon?
🌺 With honey and lemon please.

6) During his reclusive years (1975 to 1980), John didn't have household help, preferring to take care of his young son and housework himself. He did, however, have a chauffeur on call around the clock. If you could afford to a staff of one, what single thing would you have him/her do?
🌺 I just want him/her to put away my sons toys every time he plays and throw everything in the room.

7) When John was a boy, he requested water colors and colored pencils for his birthday and at Christmastime. Do you recall a special birthday or Christmas gift you received as a child?
🌺 None. I guess my birthday was not that special. πŸ€ͺ

8) Beatles producer George Martin said John was "a completely impractical man." Would you describe yourself as impulsive, with flashes of practicality? Or are you practical, with flashes of impulsivity?
🌺 More practical I guess. I mean when you get older and you get to experience how hard money-making is, you have no choice but to spend you money wiser.

9) Random question -- Congratulations! You just won the Saturday 9 Sweepstakes, and the prize is your choice of a boat or a motorcycle. Which one do you take?

🌺 Motorcycle. πŸ˜‹

Post Valentines Day Celebration

February 16, 2019 two days after the Valentines Day celebration. We weren't able to celebrate on the same day since I have loads of works and so is the husband. Today, we decided to take the little boy in the movie house and watch "Lego Movie 2". T'was his first time and he is very happy. He keeps on shouting, laughing as if he understood everything about the movie. His happiness is PRICELESS. This is the best Valentines date we had for over 17 years of being together as lovers and couples.

Papa and Mama's lovable Valentines date.

Saturday 9: Valentine (1993)

Friday, February 15, 2019

This song was specially chosen for the Saturday 9 closest to Valentine's Day.

1) This is a love song written by Willie Nelson for his young son. Have you sent any Valentines this year to someone you love who isn't a romantic partner?

I always do because my husband doesn't like surprises. πŸ˜œ

2) Today that little boy, Lukas, is a singer/songwriter who wrote eight of the songs for the 2018 A Star Is Born soundtrack. Have you seen the Bradley Cooper/Lady Gaga big screen romance?

Not yet. I am planning to watch it though. πŸ€”

3) On Valentine's Day in 1876, Alexander Graham Bell patented the first telephone. Who did you most recently speak to on the phone?

Telemarketers. Selling and asking you to avail a credit card. Lol! πŸ€£

4) Penicillin was also introduced on Valentine's Day (in 1929). When you get a shot, do you look away when the needle touches your skin?
I usually pretend not knowing anything. As if, I will not feel the pain. πŸ˜€

5) According to legend, a gift of red roses signifies love and romance. When did you last purchase flowers or plants? Did you buy them for yourself, or someone else?
I bought my Mom and Mother In Law a bouquet of roses yesterday. πŸ˜Š

6) This week's artist, Willie Nelson, can trace his family tree back to the Revolutionary War. Captain John Nelson served with the Minutemen back in 1776. If you could go back in time to witness any great moment in American history, which would you choose?

I am a Bruce Springsteen fan so I'd say I want to see him rock at the Berlin Wall again. πŸŽ€πŸŽΆ

7) Before he became a musical success, Willie was a door-to-door salesman, peddling first Bibles, then vacuum cleaners. INC magazine tells us that the traits of successful salespeople include resilience and good listening skills. Do you think you'd make a good sales person?

Yes! I have a convincing power. My husband is a living testimony. Lol! πŸ˜›

8) In 1993, when this song came out, Saved by the Bell aired its series finale. Crazy Sam likes to tease her brother because he once admitted to her that he has seen all 86 episodes of this teen sitcom. Is there a show that you believe you've seen every episode?

Breaking Bad over and over again. πŸ˜

9) Random question -- We're having milkshakes! What's your favorite flavor?

 Strawberry flavor please.

Snack Time

Feeling tired and hungry after doing my chores. Tadaaa! I cooked some "Camote Cue". Sharing the recipe here:

  • 1 lb sweet potato sliced crosswise about 1.5 cm thick (Asian sweet potato is preferred)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup cooking oil

  • Heat the pan and pour the cooking oil.
  • Let the cooking oil heat-up then put-in the brown sugar.
  • When the brown sugar floats, put-in the sweet potato and fry for 7 to 10 minutes. Flip the sweet potato once in a while to allow the sugar to stick.
  • Remove the sweet potato from the pan one after the other. You could directly skewer the fried sweet potatoes once removed from the pan.
  • Let it cool down for a few minutes then serve. Share and Enjoy.

Morning Has Broken

Enjoying my breakfast while my boys are playing and tickling each other. Our daily grind before hubby leaves for work and I start-off my days workloads.

Here's a quote for everyone today:

Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most. Buddha

First Pregnancy

Wednesday, February 13, 2019

Looking back, how time flies so fast, how my little baby boy turns into a terrible two. It was too hard to conceive during those years. We were married for three years and have been to different doctors, we tried working out just to conceive. Then one day I get tired and decided to just keep myself busy.

I prearranged a transfer of assignment at work just to forget the disappointments I have. I was having fun and eventually I met women like me who wanted to have a baby as well. I went out with them, visited this and that until one day I was ready to try again.

I resign from work. I started working at home. Sleeping eight hours a day. Jogging and eating healthy foods. I was being merry that I wasn't able to remember that I missed my period for three months. I started having more sleep, cravings and started being lazy. That is when we cinched that I have to see my OBGYNE. And Boom! I was two months pregnant. I cried and laughing at the same time. At long last, I am going to be a Mom.

To be continued . . .

A Butterfly

Everyone is like a butterfly, they start out ugly and awkward and then morph into beautiful graceful butterflies that everyone loves. Have a lovely morning everyone!
